Errors get corrected publicly. This page is the permanent log.

Corrections policy

If we publish something that turns out to be wrong, we say so. The process is the same every time:

  • The correction is logged on this page with the date, the article affected, what was wrong, and what is now correct
  • Material corrections also get a visible note at the top of the affected article. Material means the error changed the meaning, the conclusion, or a specific attribution
  • Minor corrections (typos, broken links, bad source URLs that still reach the correct source) are fixed silently in the article itself; they do not appear here
  • Retractions are rare, but when they happen they follow the same disclosure pattern and the article is preserved with a retraction notice rather than deleted

If you spot an error, email [email protected]. We treat those messages seriously. Include the article URL, the specific claim you think is wrong, and what you think it should be, with a source if possible.
